2015 Cook Islands Golden Oldies Rugby Mini Festival

4 – 8 May 2015

The Golden Oldies Rugby Mini Festival is a bi-annual sporting event held on the beautiful tropical island of Rarotonga. The festival is based on ‘Fun, Friendship and Fraternity’. Players who participate in the Golden Oldies Rugby Mini Festival are guaranteed to enjoy playing the game they love while experiencing the idyllic climate, friendly hospitably and unsurpassed beauty of the Cook Islands. Who wins on the pitch is irrelevant as the festival is all about creating a fun and memorable experience.

The Golden Oldies Rugby Mini Festival will be held from Monday 4 May – Friday 8 May 2015 and we encourage you to make the most of your visit by taking in the many wonderful attractions and activities that Rarotonga has to offer.

The festival directors will be Robert Skews and Stephen Doherty who have managed previous festivals and they promise to provide more of the Cook Islands fun and fellowship that has been experienced over past events.

2014 Round Rarotonga Road Race

Thursday 18 September 2014 – Wednesday 24 September 2014

The Round Rarotonga Road Race is an annual weeklong event held on the beautiful tropical island of Rarotonga.  The event caters for everyone including families, social, recreational and competitive runners and is a fantastic opportunity to combine a holiday with a once in a lifetime sporting achievement. 

The Round Rarotonga Road Race aims to raise funds to help develop the Junior Athletics in the Cook Islands, whilst also providing participants with an opportunity to enjoy the white sandy beaches, turquoise lagoons and lush tropical hills that make up the unique and beautiful environment of the Cook Islands.

The main event is a 32km run or walk around the island of Rarotonga, however if you are not up for that, there is a 10km option on the day as well as a number of other great events including the Local Fun Run, Hash House Harriers Birthday Run, Round Rock (Island) Team Relay or the totally mad but fun Nutters Cross Island Run.

The 37th Round Rarotonga Road Race is a fun and memorable event to combine with your holiday to the beautiful island paradise of the Cook Islands.

Club Raro Cook Islands Squash Open 2014

24 – 30 October 2014

Get ready for some of the hottest squash action in the South Pacific!

The Club Raro Cook Islands Squash Open is an annual sporting event held on the beautiful tropical island of Rarotonga. The event is open to squash players of all ages and grades and is guaranteed to be a fast paced, fun and memorable event.

The competition will be held at the Rarotonga Squash Club in Avarua and is proudly sponsored by Club Raro. To ensure that you have enough time to truly experience the idyllic climate, friendly hospitably and unsurpassed beauty of the Cook Islands the event will be held over seven days commencing Friday 24 October 2014 to Thursday 30 October 2014.

The Scotty’s Golf Shop Rarotonga Amateur Golf Open 2014

 12, 13 & 14 June 2014 

The Rarotonga Amateur Golf Open is an annual event held on the beautiful tropical island of Rarotonga and is a World Amateur Golf Ranking Tournament proudly sponsored by Scotty’s Golf Shop.

The competition is held at the well maintained Rarotonga Golf Course which is an 18 hole (2x9 hole) course set amongst beautiful tropical tress and palms across from the picturesque Black Rock lagoon.  Playing around the masts and stays of the cable and wireless station contribute to the unique hazards of the course and makes for a truly enjoyable golf experience.

Cook Islands Bowls Carnival Tour 

24 July – 2 August 

This incredible travel package represents outstanding value for money, and will provide you with amazing opportunities to play fun carnival bowls with the locals. You’ll play alongside the local Cook Islanders as well as fellow Australians and New Zealanders in this fun ‘Open Fours’ Carnival! All this plus see the very best sights, and rejuvenate … all in one island paradise!
You’ll enjoy a unique opportunity to play fun carnival lawn bowls with fellow bowlers from  Australia, New Zealand and the Cook Islands. There will also be a social bowls game leading up to the Carnival, in which everyone is invited to wear island ‘novelty’ attire! We also cater for non-bowlers with incredible activities which everyone can enjoy, including participation in the colourful Te Maeva Nui Festival Float Parade and other festival events.
